Murphy Watch
is a voter
education project of
Pennsylvanians for Right to Work, Inc,
a 501(c)(4) tax exempt organization, that seeks to achieve and
guarantee for Pennsylvania workers the right to obtain and hold a job,
whether or not they belong to a union. No one can be required to join
a union at any time, but employees can be forced to pay union fees
under certain circumstances.
The President of PA Right to Work is
Mrs. Susan Staub. A former teacher and NEA local union
official, Mrs. Staub objected to the union’s policy adopted in the
1970’s of requiring membership as a condition of employment. She
joined the staff of the National Right to Work Committee in
Washington, DC, founded and directed its education division —
Concerned Educators Against Forced Unionism (CEAFU) — and was a vice
president before leaving to join PARTW.
The spokesperson for Murphy Watch is
Paul Salvatore, a realtor and resident of Newtown Borough,
Bucks County, PA and Chairman of the Newtown Area Republican
Committee.
